Adelaide Rail Driver Amenities Fitout

Adelaide Railway Station Driver Amenities

SA Construction team to commence fitout for ARS driver amenties

Continuing our longstanding relationship with Adelaide Railway Station (ARS), Schiavello Construction SA is pleased to announce the commencement of the ARS Driver Amenities fitout.

For the Department of Planning, Transport, and Infrastructure (DPTI) and in collaboration with DASH Architects, AECOM, and Turner & Townsend Thinc, we will be converting a tenancy within the heritage-listed building into a new rest and recreation space for the public transport services operators.

In 2013 our SA construction team upgraded the Western End of ARS’ Northern Terrace entrance, increasing the station’s capacity to handle large crowds and provide better connections between the city’s trams, buses, and trains.

We also delivered the heritage upgrade of the 1920’s era ARS Southern façade in 2016. Works were completed during Adelaide’s famous Mad March festival period on one of the city’s busiest metro roads, requiring intensive logistical planning to account for the high volume foot and vehicle traffic around the station.

We are excited to deliver another project in a building that stands as one of the state’s most significant heritage-listed assets. The ARS Driver Amenities project is due for completion in early March 2019.
