Refurbishing a century-old pub to stand proud for many more years
Our Adelaide construction team, together with the design team from Studio Nine, has commenced hotel refurbishment and renovation works to Adelaide’s iconic Strathmore Hotel – ensuring the 165-year-old pub’s success continues.
The original structure was opened in 1855 as The Terminus Hotel, then underwent a name change to Strathmore Hotel in 1944.
Our team commenced works in April 2019 completely refurbishing the two-storey facility; including exciting new bars, kitchens, gaming room, and outdoor areas. An overall increase of entertainment areas including premium dining offerings and an open-air balcony is set to embrace the expanding riverbank precinct.
This project will incorporate major structural modifications and infrastructure upgrades. Refurbishment works to both levels, the cellar, and new building extensions – including modifications to the balcony terrace structure – are to be completed within a live environment on the prominent North Terrace.
Over the next few months, the project team will be staging works to accommodate the hotel’s request to maintain partial dining areas for the majority of the construction period.
Our SA construction team is excited to continue their success in the hospitality sector which already includes premium facilities including Sean’s Kitchen, Madam Hanoi, Electra House, Lakes Hotel , and Bridgeway Hotel.
