A new office for a growing business
With an end-of-lease looming and the need for a larger space to accommodate their growing company, CBUS Super made the strategic decision to relocate to newer and larger premises.
Residing in a prominent Brisbane CBD building, the new tenancy is spread across two levels and provides staff with an enriching work environment.
Along with JUO Architects, North Projects, and STP Consultants, our construction team transformed the base built shell. The collaborative efforts of all contractors resulted in the delivery of a refined fitout within a tight seven-week construction timeframe.
Overcoming construction challenges
As with most short deadlines, the construction process presented a multitude of challenges. Methodical planning and coordination with committed trades and contractors was required to ensure the smooth delivery of the project.
Under the direction of the project manager, the CBUS Super fitout was successfully delivered three days prior the completion date. In doing so, the client was able to move into the new tenancy and resume operations sooner than expected.
Steven and his team did a great job with our new office. I will definitely engage Schiavello Construction QLD for future projects.
Design features that embrace the outdoors
Accessed directly from the building’s main lobby, the office space is designed to take advantage of the enveloping glass façade, allowing ample natural light to flow through the space.
Staff will love hosting clients and consultants in the glass-wrapped boardroom. With the outdoor vertical garden in full view and an adjacent moss green wall, this space is a harmonious union of the outdoors indoors.
Functional requirements in-line with design intent
Client requirements for the office fitout included high acoustic rating throughout the space. The ceiling features a black Autex Frontier Axis system and is complemented with 3D acoustic wall tiles in white. The breakout area also takes advantage of the acoustic treatments, with a subtle pale blue geometric dividing wall. Although a functional solution, these elements create a consistent aesthetic textural feature throughout the office.
In addition, reconfiguration of the base built services was completed to suit the new fitout design. Services were concealed in galvanised conduits; further enhancing the feature interior design elements.
