A high-performing and secure space delivered in under two months
When the Queensland Competition Authority (QCA) embarked on a brand-new fitout for its Brisbane CBD office, they turned to Solid Architecture and our construction team to transform their vision. A marathon effort that saw the fitout delivered in under two months from the date of commencement.
The project sought to consolidate the existing two-level office into one functional and secure space for all employees. This required the demolition of level 27 and a complete fitout comprising all electrical and plumbing services, working spaces, common areas, and a secure new reception entrance.
Solid Architecture has designed a layout with a combination of open-plan work areas, managerial office suites, and multi-purpose breakout spaces for QCA employees to carry out their ever-important work of ensuring competitive fairness in the Queensland economy.
Timeless, durable materials make for a lasting design
Our construction team has successfully delivered a medley of soft lines and natural hues across the fitout. We were pleased to procure the quality Australian materials that proudly feature throughout this government office, like Tasmanian Oak to complement the sense of timelessness conducive to a long lease period.
Our furniture team was also consulted on repurposing their existing Schiavello Furniture pieces within the new lay out - such as the flexible and durable Ultimet Panel System - saving on project costs and waste.
Among the many high-quality finishes feature timber framed glazed partitions and curved Porta Lining Tasmanian Oak walls which wrap around the entry with backlit dimensional lettered signage resting on a cut out ledge.
