Relocating to a new tenancy
Following a merger with Local Super, Adelaide based Statewide Super has relocated to a centrally located, two-level workspace that actively brings together staff and increases interaction between functional areas of the business.
As tenancy advocate, McIntyre Robertson Scarborough (MRS) helped Statewide Super find and secure the new location at 211 Victoria Square in late 2012.
A transparent fitout for a transparent workplace
Architecture and design firm Woodhead was engaged to design the space - a sophisticated, monochromatic fitout with splashes of colour.
According to Hayley Brooks of Woodhead; "we have kept the fitout as transparent as possible. The open plan work areas and glazed offices provide the client access to natural light that they had requested in the initial brief."
The ground floor is a modern, welcoming area for members. The multi-use boardroom overlooks Victoria Square and doubles as an impressive and inviting function space.
Base builder and managing contractor
As base builder of Statewide Super's new premises, Schiavello Construction SA took on the role of managing contractor.
This gave our SA team the opportunity to integrate the base building upgrades in conjunction with the interior construction - resulting in a timeframe that was five weeks shorter than the initial construction programme.
This also afforded the client enough time to meet their existing make-good requirements. Works included the complete replacement of external windows, complete services upgrade, and toilet refurbishment.
Furniture by Schiavello Systems
Schiavello's furniture subsidiary Systems supplied and installed Marina Meeting and Fold tables, Krossi meeting tables, and executive meeting and breakout chairs to support the new office spaces and boardrooms.
Statewide Super, COO Nicolle Rantanen says the project "was successfully completed ahead of time and significantly under budget thanks to Schiavello's strong project management, excellent working relationship with Woodhead, and for proactively keeping Statewide Super up-to-date with progress, and giving us the option to view the construction in stages whilst juggling multiple contractors."
