The Star Executive Lounge

A new era of business luxury

In collaboration with Sissons Architects and a+ Design Group, our NSW construction team transformed a space of 44 hotel bedrooms into a state-of-the-art Executive Lounge. To assist in driving this ambitious project, our team undertook design responsibility, solutions development, shop drawing review, and quality inspections through our in-house design manager.

A palatial space

The palatial space caters to business elite with collaborative meeting spaces, an adjacent boardroom and first-class business facilities featured throughout.

Granite and marble tiling exude a contemporary and lavish palette, marrying with functionality to provide the ultimate location for executives to meet, work and relax.

While high ceilings and designer furnishings give way to views over Pyrmont, this was a notable challenge throughout the project due to the existing service design. Our team redesigned services throughout the floor to increase the ceiling height and meet the client’s aspirations.

Working in a live environment

A welcome challenge for our team was delivering the Star Executive Lounge in a live environment. Through meticulous planning, a project team that understood the unique requirements of working within a heavily occupied hospitality space, and with a healthy dose of creativity and resourcefulness, our team successfully delivered a world-class facility with no disruption to the hotel floors above, or the gaming floor’s operations below.

The highly collaborative approach between Schiavello, Sissons Architects, The Star, and all parties involved can be credited for the seamless delivery of the project, amidst a particularly tight and challenging program.
