Located within The University of Melbourne, the Merchandise Store project was designed to create a contemporary retail experience that reflects the University’s identity through design, craftsmanship and technology.
Working within a compact footprint, the fitout seamlessly integrates bespoke joinery, architectural finishes and digital elements to create a refined and highly functional environment. Delivered in close collaboration with the client and consultant team, the project achieved a high standard of detail and finish throughout.
A key feature of the store is the curved digital screen installation, which required precise planning and coordination across multiple trades to achieve the desired visual and functional outcome. Acoustic, seismic and fire-proofing requirements were also carefully integrated alongside fire, electrical and mechanical services, ensuring compliance with consultant specifications, building codes and the University’s design standards.
Strong site management and collaboration enabled the complex retail fitout to be delivered efficiently and to a high standard. The result is a contemporary and engaging retail environment that enhances the customer experience while aligning with the University of Melbourne’s brand and identity.
