Meet our makers - Grant Were | Schiavello Furniture

Having been with Schiavello for more than 25 years, Grant knows the ins and outs of steel fabrication.

With extensive knowledge in machinery maintenance and operation, Grant is able to expertly produce the intricately cut steel designs that make up our products – enabling us to deliver quality, custom designs each time.

As a qualified manufacturing technician, Grant oversees Schiavello’s steel laser cutting production from conception through to completion.

Initially joining the team as a draftsperson, Grant has been involved in diverse training and skills development with Schiavello, helping him to gain a holistic view of the factory and its functions.

In his time, Grant has worked on machine maintenance, reliability improvements and product development, while also overseeing the massive improvements that Computer-Aided Design (CAD) has brought to precision and efficiency – all of which has helped contribute to the skilled expert he is today.
