Schiavello Delivers West Australians New Look Perth Showroom

Schiavello Perth has a new showroom design, with the bustling Hay Street location now delivering clients a space that showcases the latest furniture and technology innovations, all within curated spaces representative of a progressive workplace.

“We wanted to create a space that was much more interactive and allowed us to talk beyond pure product,” says Luke Bayley, Director and State Manager Schiavello WA.

“The space needed to create conversation around the workplace and its purpose and we’ve done that by focusing on things like tech integration, acoustics and malleability.”

Re-designed with new zones specifically curated to reflect workplace settings, clients can now explore and interact with a broader range of Schiavello product. Alongside workstations, tables and seating, the space now includes the full award-winning Valli sofa collection, workplace tech solutions including the NEXUS range, Nura Space software and Vecos storage, plus new design innovations including Krossi Surround and updates to the award-winning Focus Quiet Room range.

“It’s exciting to be able to present the latest evolution of our Focus Quiet Room range to our clients, allowing them to experience the size and scale, market leading acoustics and latest technology integrations for themselves. After being recognised with a Gold Best of NeoCon award in the US last month, we expect these rooms to be a popular focus this year,” Luke says.

Having completed several large-scale control room projects for leading mining and transport clients, the WA team also installed a custom 3.4 metre control desk, complete with eight monitors, allowing them to demonstrate Schiavello’s capabilities in this field.

Wanting to create more of a presence and raise awareness of the showroom at street level, the front of the space has been opened up, with timber cladding adding a biophilic context to two large concrete pillars. The affectionately named “chair wall” has also been reimagined. Visible from the street, the eye-catching wall now boasts new lighting, materiality and furniture selection from partner brands including VeryWood and Humanscale.

Inside, a new cafe area provides a central gathering point for coffees, meetings and evening events, whilst new finishes bring added warmth and texture to the space. Luxury timber-look vinyl tiles from Shaw Contract have been used to zone the café and main sitting area, whilst West Elm x Shaw Contract carpet tiles feature throughout the rest of the showroom. Evoking a textured stone finish, the ‘Grit’ tile in the shade ‘Granite’ also reflects light, further opening the space. All flooring materials were selected not only for their aesthetic appeal and durability, but also strong environmental credentials.

Working closely with Schiavello’s Design Manager Nick Tennant, the team hand-selected finishes from the ColourLab palette of fabrics, timber stains and powder coat colours for each piece displayed in the space.

“The approach to the product finishes schemes was inspired by natural, graduated hues found in flora and geology, referencing our upcoming ColourLab Volume 4 palette, designed in collaboration with Giulio Ridolfo,” Nick says.

“The space is warm and inviting and does a fantastic job of showcasing our own design and product capabilities to those in the West. I’m sure the team are very excited to welcome in clients and partners for a coffee and tour of the re-imagined space.”

Schiavello’s Perth showroom is located at 1315 Hay Street, West Perth and is open Monday to Friday. Visit www.schiavello.com/furniture/find-us for more information and to make an appointment.
