Contemporary and intimate dining at Crown Casino's Atlantic Restaurant
Inspired by the famous New York meatpacking district and the hustle and bustle of the fish markets of years gone by, Atlantic Restaurant at Crown Casino is every bit as luxurious and breathtaking as the iconic Melbourne destination demands.
The atmosphere is palpable – with each design choice and crafted detail working towards the shared goal of creating a contemporary yet intimate dining experience. Early engagement of Schiavello Construction for the project streamlined the inclusion of Schiavello Furniture and Prima Architectural and Joinery, together delivering a standard of cohesion that can only truly be achieved through an integrated, multidisciplinary offering.
This ambience is attained through a darkly clad interior facade featuring finely crafted timber walls in a deep chocolate finish. The wooden panels are artistically arranged to form soft barriers in the 1,500sqm space that create separation within the restaurant while still remaining open plan. An architectural solution exceptionally finished to deliver more than a space but a feeling: that’s the expertise of Prima Architectural and Joinery.
An interior that radiates health at Medibank’s Melbourne office
Sweeping curves and soft lines juxtaposed in a light-filled, greenery-rich space inspire a sense of vibrancy that is perfectly suited to the office of one of Australia’s leading private health insurers, Medibank.
Occupying nine of the 16 levels at the landmark development in Dockland’s 720 Bourke Street, Medibank’s premium office space totals 26,000sqm and features an internal spiral ramp and staircase atrium leading up from Bourke Street to internal bike storage, a sports court, edible garden and a demonstration kitchen.
Eye-catching timber structures are seen throughout, however those deserving of the highest accolades belong to the Plaza: a place for staff to meet, work and relax. The break-out zone features Prima built wooden boxes arranged to emulate a cityscape, complemented with a homely fireplace that elicits feelings of security and comfort. The timber kitchen and bespoke lockers complete the composition, providing practicality within the workplace’s naturalistic, crisp and energising design.
A desk that represents a philosophy at LinkedIn’s Australian HQ
A flowing communal desk envisioned by Woods Bagot and brought to life by Prima Architectural and Joinery forms the centre-piece of LinkedIn Australia’s headquarters. A physical embodiment of the professional networking platform’s philosophy, the handcrafted piece encourages LinkedIn’s employees to share, come together and collaborate.
Emerging at reception before weaving its way through the 3600sqm office, the desk spans two levels like an omnipresent slithering snake. Featuring height-adaptable tabletops that twist and turn engineered from the footprint of Schiavello Furniture’s Krossi Workstation, the timber creation includes more than 126 various work points including corner configurations.
At the points in which the desk diverges or ends completely, custom joinery pieces fill the space including solid timber reception units, curved panels and planter boxes. Complemented with scattered pieces from Schiavello Furniture’s premium collection, the office space masterfully reflects the company's fundamental value of connection.
